Description
Desert Organic Design uses energy efficient design principles and construction. The building plan allows for the maximization of floor area, with minimized wasted space. The design incorporates sustainable materials for their recycled content, recyclability, and their manufacturing process. Chemically stable materials and construction techniques ensure a healthy indoor environment. Passive design for heating and cooling, and the careful placement of living spaces, assures comfort through all seasons. Building material and massing integrates the building into the landscape and terrain. The building functions as a holistic working unit.

Wall construction is flexible; could be SIP's, super-insulated framed walls, or ICF's. Main mass walls can be block, concrete, or rammed earth.

Blueprints, etc.
Joe can produce the blueprints, but as of now these have not been prepared. This design was made for a developer, but was never built. He would like to see this home built, so he would offer the rest of the design work at cost, just to cover his time. The hard part is done, but it would still take him a couple of weeks to produce the construction documents and to get the structural drawings completed. So he is offering to complete the design at $1.00 per sf.
