Western View 1000
Touson Saryon, Designer

This retreat home was designed for a southwest sloping site with an expansive western view. It is bermed into the grade 3 feet which helps give it a low profile on the landscape. Plenty of south glass assures strong passive solar gain in this 1012 sq.ft, 1 bedroom plus office design. And a south terrace allows for easy outdoor living. The framed garage with outside access is also great for a storage or shop area.
Floor
Plan

All of Integral Design Studio's strawbale plans incorporate an internal modified post and beam structure, with bales on edge as infill. This method streamlines the building process and allows more living space on the inside compared to flat bale construction. These plans also have concrete slab or adobe floors which act as the main thermal mass. Plans may be reversed to better accommodate specific sites at no additional charge. Design services are available for custom modifications to these existing plans for an additional hourly fee.
